Sevier Avenue

This project is not finished – no landscape or final colors, most furniture still absent. The existing house was just a box; we saved the floor slab and two walls and were able to call it a remodel.  We first built a small cottage/studio in the back to match the house – the client camped out there for nine months during construction of the main house.

Finishes include cherry cabinetry, granite counters and (heated) porcelain tile floors; the hardwood flooring is sustainable Brazilian cherry.

The original house was very dark; we doubled the amount of window area and added paired skylights that also add drama to the ceilings.
